Who is putting in bids to host the 2016 5A State Tournament?

Any word yet?  Who put in for what?  Deadline was yesterday!

Hot Springs & HS Lakeside submitted a dual bid to host at Bank of the Ozarks Arena. Heard that Valley View was contemplating but never heard for sure.

Maybe if someone would just start posting a list of bids, it would start up arguments and then someone like Woodpecker would post the actual bids on here!

I would guess that Hot Springs gets the bid since it was in the East last year.  But, that isn't always the deciding factor.

Hotel accessibility will be an issue.  If Marmaduke has 2A, then Jonesboro will be loaded with those teams too.  Paragould has a couple of hotels for access to Marmaduke, but most teams stayed in Jonesboro last time.  So that needs to be addressed, will there be hotel accommodations for all these teams?

As expected. And as it should be. The 5A goes through Hot Springs in both Boys and Girls this year. They deserve to host.

Most rankings had J.A.Fair boys #1 last week but since they lost Hot Springs should be there now. 5a central is something serious. There will be a couple of teams that will get left out of the state tournament that are really good.
