here is a game I thought would be good. but calpreps sees it this way Curtis 42 jc 8 NEVER MIND lol laugher...

Curtis is a machine.  For those who don't know, they are a Christian based private school near New Orleans.  Think of U$C with a lot more people to pull from.  I'd recommend the book Hurricane Season (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1088180.Hurricane_Season) to get an idea of their situation.  I'm considering going to see them play that Lufkin game in Shreveport's Battle of the Border.

Oh and if you got a chuckle out of the LaLaLand hypothetical JC vs JC match-up, you'll be rolling on the floor with this one:

[2014] Curtis [John] (River Ridge, LA) 62,
[2014] Marked Tree (AR) 0

Now you need to post something about Smackover or bucky and BP are going to go all buck wild on you for derailing the thread.  ;D

Proud Buckaroo

John Curtis is the most dominate high school in lousianna. The coach does a lot of recruiting. And it is legit. Not to cheat. They are an awesome team. Definitely a different level than any arkansas team.

Yeah... they are no joke.

Louisiana schools with double digit state championships:

26   John Curtis
   1975, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013

16   Haynesville   1924, 1929, 1936, 1970, 1971, 1984, 1987, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2009, 2013

13   Evangel   1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010

10   Neville        1955, 1959, 1961, 1962, 1972, 1983, 1984, 1995, 2009, 2011

They also lead the state in most runner up finishes at eight.

8   John Curtis
   1976, 1982, 1986, 1994, 2000, 2003, 2009, 2010

Yes ladies and gentlemen, in the in the 38 seasons since and including 1975, John Curtis has played in 34 title games. :o

And those titles have come in multiple classes. Eight of those 26 titles came when they voluntarily played up in the 4A (the second largest class in the state).

That is amazing.

Lousianna high school football is a WAY different caliber than any Arkansas school. John Curtis is obviously the best one. They are a private school. As I said, the coaches do a lot of recruiting.

And to get this sucker back on track, here's the EDNT write up on last Saturday's touch football tournament in El Deaux:  CLICK HERE

It's just powder puff football. Lol. Just wait until it's full pads. Also. Jordan, and Logan were not there. If they were. We probably would of done better.

As a matter of opinion, according to Cal Preps our best in the state doesnt do to bad against the number three team in the nation.[2014] Hoover (AL) 26, [2014] Bentonville (AR) 14

How quick we forget. Calprep had Shiloh playing close to Trinity, a few years back and they didn't score till the 4th string came in... ;)

ON paper shiloh looked even...but the depth(or shiloh's lack thereof) greatly affected the outcome of that game...

Dragon I

HF, I watched that game.  It was out of hand long before depth should have been an issue.

Ok talent was the issue lol...Either way it was great seeing the the Almighty Saints get their teeth kicked down their throat.

THA TRUTH

80-26 is pretty bad but yea Shiloh scored early because Garrett Harper broke free for a decently long run but then it was all trinity after that

I can't wait to see the excuses on here after an easier than expected JC victory.

HorseFeathers

What if junction city loses? How creative will you guys be with excuses?

amehr36

I don't know how creative we'd be if JC loses. It happens so little that I think we'd all cry and give up on football... Seriously though, there have been games I actually thought we could lose.  This one doesnt concern me.

must be bugging            coach Carp and staff.....they all had good seats thursday night at
Buckaroo stadium..

Must be.  It is just crazy to think that they would scout the first team they're going to play this year.

especially sense no one from JC is concerned about the bucks, ...........anyways, they got an eye full of offense

You know why Im not concerned? Because they prepare well by doing things like scouting.  Oh and they are much better. Maybe one day Smackover will be in JC's league....

RPS has it:

Smackover 27
Junction    36

I could see that being a possiblity.  Bucks have a quality receiver who could find paydirt more than once. But JC has the talent/experience to score often and the defense to harass the Smackover QB all night long.

But hey, we're talking 15-18 year olds and anything could happen.

THA TRUTH

True cause jc center almost single handily lost them the game against rison

RiverEagle079

So speaking of recruiting did coach carpenter call his good friend coach miles to get Leonard Fournette for the smack over game?

THA TRUTH

No but was able to get Dixon from holtz

RiverEagle079

Fournette would have been easier to camouflage since he is just eighteen but I'm shure you all have that figured out

Tha View

Here is my view of j.c.vs .smackover game  one thing for there are going to be some athletes on the feild that night I went an watched jc scrimmage game an seen alot of talent. On defense tha dragons has the size to match up with Jones kid wen he plays wr.they have 2 corners back that stands ever bit of 6'2 an plays physical.also they are fast an physical. An on they are good I wonder do smackover have the dbs to play wit jc wr who are6'2 an 6'3 I think they will double team bell who is 6'6 an  he will go get it .there 3 rbs are men against boys they are amazing we know tha dancy kid looks good he about 190# an can fly to b that size in order for smackover to hang in the ball game they will have to hold him to under 5 yards a carry he if he is averaging 5 or more a carry its going to be a long nite for them the orther are sleepers to me tha fastest one doesn't even start .  Hemsted, both of the jones kids, tha pufori kid an clark are game changers as well
