In my opinion this makes things very interesting in our conference. Lonoke seem to be in a rebuilding phase loosing to nonconference rival StarCity. While Stuttgart showed signs of life against 4A number 1 ranked Warren. Newport as usual have started the season off undefeated competing against 5A programs, but can they maintain the domination? ?? This by far will be one of the more interesting conferences to watch. What are your thoughts??

With Dollarway, Marianna/Lee, & Clinton departing we lose 3 known programs/opponents and pick up 3 unknowns with HWH, Riverview and CAC.

Performance wise... this effects the top, middle and bottom from the teams leaving.  Of those coming in it would appear from current non-conference performance the 3 new teams will definitely be competitive in the middle and bottom of the conference. I don't see anyone at a competitive level of Dollarway's current program...

We've got 3 teams... Newport, Lonoke & Southside that pretty much return this year with no major changes. Newport appears to be the major threat to win conference this year... but they will have to work hard to earn it. Lonoke will definitely end up in the top half of the conference bracket.

Then we've got 2 teams... Stuttgart and Heber Springs coming off down seasons with new head coaches... Both of these teams show some really good signs of being competitive so far this year... can their new programs gel and sustain good performance remains to be seen...

I believe we're going to have some great match ups and really competitive play in the top half of the conference. A couple of upsets for Newport could make it real interesting who wins conference.
