USA Today announced their 50 best places to live list. One Arkansas city made the list. Coming in at number 25 is....Batesville! They made no mention about Pioneer football but that was probably to save space. I'm sure they would have gotten around to it.

I stopped in Batesville this past Sunday to grab some lunch.  Nice, historic town with several amenities uncommon for towns its size.  Congrats on the recognition.

How have you heard that a lot if you aren't familiar with either? Can't be a hot topic anywhere else but around here really.

Some kids are going, sure. Some kids come to Batesville. Happens not just in football but other sports as well. When two good size schools are so close, it will happen. Batesville certainly hasn't gotten worse at football because of it though. It's had a very light, if any, impact at all.
