Magnolia freshmen run away with district meet. We almost doubled Camden Fairview's points.

Yall are Magnolia's future.. We have been looking at the 9th grade class as a dominate class of athletes.. Good start

never know of things to come.....Magnolia, Alma, and Vilonia all won conference titles in Junior High this week!!! looking at results, the teams are all very comparable!!

The kid that won poll vault is on the Panther baseball team and only got to practice vaulting one day a week. Cleared 11' thinks he can get 12' with different poll. Dont' know if he will vault in high school. The 2 fastest kids in 9th grade didn't run at district.

Where are Vilonia's Jr. high results?

wasn't on direct athletics but going off of what was announced at meet:

LJ--19' and 2 at 18'
TJ--37' and 2 at 36'
Shot-- 48,43,40
Disc--130,128,124
PV-- 10'6,10',9'6
HJ--6'0,5'4,5'2
4 X 800 - 9:07
4 X 400 - 3:46
4 X 100 - DQ
100 - 11.6, 12.0, 13.0 (All times were hand held)
200 - 24.2, 25.0, 26.6 ( not sure bout the last two)
400 - 56, 60, 61
800 - 2:12, 2:13, 2:14
1600 - 4:53, 4:55, 5:23 (the 4:55 has ran 4:49)
110 H - 16.6, 19's on other two
300 H - 44.5, 48, and 51

I have no idea if they are 8th or 9th graders. I can't find anywhere to get official results but this was what I heard and wrote down during the meet. If anyone knows where to get the official results, please let me know!!

Very impressive.

I'm guessing y'all bring up a thrower, maybe a high jumper, the 2 milers, and a hurdler

I am hoping to be there but it depends on if I can get off work!! I would expect to have those move up except for the HJ...I think he is an 8th grader

Magnolia is carrying 4 freshmen to high school district meet Thursday. 1 distance, 2 sprinters, 1 vaulter. 3 of them are baseball kids. Hope they can help the older boys out.

DeQueen jr high won their district meet 105 points ahead of 2nd place. Scored 293 points. Won all but 4 events and one kid won all the field events except pole vault. Very impressive showing. There are many good athletes in the 8th grade class including 3 hurdlers running 43s in the 300s and 4 different kids running 56 or better in the 400 along with many distance runners.
