This is definitely an off-season topic, but I got out my 1993 Hooten's Magazine today just to see how much had changed since '93 (btw I own every issue of the Hooten's Magazine 1993-2015). Anyway... here's how the Class A conferences were set up 24 years ago:

Isn't it interesting to see how much has changed since then? Football doesn't exist at: Bradley, Lewisville, Sparkman, Norphlet, Elaine, Gillett, East End, Glenwood, Hartford, Ola, Parkin, Crawfordsville, Turrell, and Clay County Central.

Elkins, Greenland, Charleston, Mansfield, Bismarck, Glen Rose, Jessieville, Harding Academy, Mayflower, Marshall, Barton, Smackover, Horatio, and Fouke are in Class AAA now.

Bauxite, Shiloh Christian, Pea Ridge, and Central Arkansas Christian are in Class AAAA now.

Lewisville kids now play for Lafayette County.
Sparkman kids now play for Camden Harmony Grove.
Norphlet kids now play for Smackover.
Elaine kids now play for Marvell.
Gillett kids now play for Stuttgart.
Glenwood kids now play for Centerpoint.
Hartford kids now play for Hackett.

Where do kids from East End, Ola, Parkin, Crawfordsville, Turrell, and Clay County Central play?

Doesn't Bradley still have a school and play basketball?

What other things do you notice from this list? Please feel free to share!

Gillett is now with DeWitt not Stuttgart
Ola is now Two Rivers 3A

BLUEBLOOD

Bradley does have a school and plays basketball.  They were always "iffy" on numbers in football.  Some years they would have 18-20 kids and some years they would have to forfeit some games because of numbers.

Yeah that 3 use to have some basketball wars until Earle moved up and Parkin, Crawfordsville, Turrell dissolved. You were definitely ready for regional/state.

WOW I didn't realize Cotton Plant had dropped football by 1993.

wildcat_x-mgr

Wow... I was only about seven eight years old then, and it's crazy to think that once, North Pulaski and Blytheville were both in the top classification.

Lions84

Lot of changes the past 25 years.
