1.62 at Kroger in Maumelle.

Same at Kroger's in Jonesboro, but I also used my $.50/gal discount on 35 gallons.

AirWarren

I got gas the other day for 1.19 with my discount. Amazing.

Well ricepig I went ahead and order a new 1500.  Rebates were just too good.  See what all this 8 cylinder to 4 cylinder fuel efficient hoopla is about.

you will still avg around 16 mpg. I keep up with our fleets mpg and the guys who run more hwy miles get around 16 and the guys who run more gravel road miles get about 14

2016?? I'm looking at getting my two boys 2015 GMC Denali pickups, they've got 18% advertised off. Of course, I'm still hammering them for more. My problem is the program ends the 18th, so I've got to make up my mind, and for them to come down another $5000, lol.

Exactly what I did - 2015 GMC 1500.  Actually just brought it home 30 mins ago.  Didn't have the one I wanted, in Sonoma Red, with all the tagged rebates.  So they sent out a locate, then traded a truck here for the one we wanted somewhere else.  Sure has a lot of technology, I could care less about, on the screen.  Big things for me - 3 cup holder in console, the storage in console, lol, easy flip up back seats (already up), lighting in truck bed walls, step in bumper, back up camera.  This 1/2 ton seems huge compared to my 2001 3/4 ton.

Sweet, I noticed today they had them in the paper at 20% discounts, so I think by the time I squeeze out a few more, I may do it. I don't need two, but wanted to get #1 one for his MBA, #2 is only 14, I'll drive it some until he gets 16. I drive a SUV, but have missed a truck from my full-time farming days.

Well we're heading to the duck blind in about an hour - 35 miles on Odometer.  I'd better get some seat covers and a bed mat quick.  I've really spoiled myself on this one, feeling a bit guilty.   :D

Once I went to the leather seats, I stopped with the seat covers!  GMC is a nice ride!

AirWarren

I've looked at the new GMCs. Really sharp. I'm in my folks Denali today. Man, it rides smooth. And it's a 2007 that's loaded. I can't imagine what the new ones are like.

Rice, I'm almost 2 years from having my truck paid off. Gets harder and harder to trade as I get closer to no payment. I've thought about getting back in some sort of SUV. I like the Tahoe, Yukon, or 4Runner but I use my truck a lot.

Four Limits.  It's the quietest vehicle I've ever been in, however I saw an advertisement about the 2016's have a Noise Cancelling Option.  What they talkin bout Willis?

If it's what they've used in some smaller SUV's, it's this:

Terrain's noise cancellation system relies on two microphones embedded in the headliner to detect the hum and prompt an onboard frequency generator to create counteracting sound waves through the audio system's speakers and sub-woofer. The system also reduces higher rpm engine noise at highway cruising speeds to help keep the vehicle interior quiet.

I found the mpg screen.  It shows the average and also instant.  So I'm driving around trying to keep it in 4 cylinder mode and not use brakes.  When I coast to a traffic light, I'm getting 99 mpg - lol - the kind of driver you hate to be behind.

I have the same screen on mine, have they figured out how to make them idle on 4 cylinders rather than 8?

Southwestern Energy lays off 600 in Arkansas.  The balance might be tilting too far, DOW has dropped 1500, Banks are expecting billions in energy investment losses, Economy is slowing down. OPEC's strategy to force American Energy Companies out of business, is working.

$1.13........

..with a 40 cent discount at Kroger...

VHSCoach2

My grandparents paid my wife and I a visit this last weekend.  They had a full dollar off (the max you can get) for Kroger, so we filled up their SUV and my car for $0.53/gallon.

Now, if it could only be that cheap without a discount  ;D

Jacketman65

That's hard to believe!  You guys must have eaten well while they were there. Ha!

ricepig

$.91/gal at Kroger in Jonesboro with a $.60/gal discount. I could only squeeze 31 gallons in, sad I left 4 gal @ $.91/gal at the pump.

Grandma may have bought some gift cards at Christmas from Kroger, they were either 2X or 3X on fuel points. They probably expired on Jan 31st.

Got 20 mpg (440 MLS / 22 gls) - mostly in town, little bit mudding on duck hunts, 40 hwy miles getting to swamp.  Will see how it averages over the next few tanks.  After driving a 3/4 ton, 15 yrs, 10 mpg, this cool
