It's not like they weren't hitting their shots or anything, ECS just played with them. It could be hard for many of you to believe, but ECS is that caliber of team this year. Great job on both sides, one of the best high school basketball games I have seen ever.
Good luck to NLR this season. Hard fought by the wildcats

You're right about ECS. I was telling someone before the season started that they should probably be the favorites to win 3A. Freeman and Martin are back and Robinson is healthy this year after sitting out last year. That team is very, very good...especially when they're hitting their shots. They hit 13 three-pointers and went toe-to-toe. They couldn't hold on though when NLR turned up its pressure a few notches late. NLR still has to work out their chemistry issues and get some depth. But they'll be fine. I expect to see both of them playing for a state title later, along with Parkview in 6A. Some pretty good showings by both.
McClellan over ECS 68-65 on a three w/:10 to go. Ugly game and sloppy. Looked like a bad AAU game, not much team ball tonight by ECS
Not sure what the refs have against ECS in this tournament.. Bad officiating all tourney. Also, agreed with neds it looked like ECS used all their energy on NLR.
ECS over JA Fair 59-54 today
What is the game schedule for the rest of the day?
Not sure , it was listed in the AR Dem today. Hall plays Parkview in the final. Parkview beat up NLR pretty good last night.

Yeah,,, it's a shame we don't get another shot at Parkview. Those kind of games make you better.
I love to watch Flannigan coach. He may have lots of silver in his hair , but he communicates/connects to those young players in a great way.
Coaching will cost NLR more than once this season. He is the other extreme , seems to have no connection to his players. Not saying he is a bad guy as I don't know him, just don't see a chemistry between him and his guys.

Ha,,, those kids love him. Rice is a quiet guy, but that should not mislead anyone. He's a competitor and he knows the game. Flannigan is a crybaby. He's on the officials constantly. I've watched him for years. Still, he seems to be able to coach.
He's coaching
The thing about Coach Flanigan is that he reaches those kids in his own way, and they love to play for him. He's the same as he was 15 years ago as he is today from my viewpoint. He's getting older, but he probably knows more than 90% of the high school coaches in the state. It's always a treat watching and hearing him yell on the sidelines and get on officials...comical. He's not going to sugarcoat anything at all either, whether it's positive or negative.
