Brookland Lady Bearcats 5th year in a row advancing to State ,finished up 18-16.
I just wanted to say how proud I am of this group of girls and how much heart they showed this year..even  through all  the adversity they faced with the injuries losing  All State Sr Rachel Gramling and Sr Taylor Reddick right before school started and Jr Emily Redmond shortly before season started they worked hard and played hard every night. I know it was tough for those players watching from the bench all year. Gramling was virtually just cleared to play and got a few minutes off the bench when our leading scorer and Captain Bailey Lovrien  went down with a partially torn ACL the last regular game vs Harding She played on it through Districts, Regionals and State, hats off to this player that just scored 29 pts the week before her injury vs Highland. She had to limit her role as a slasher to a spot up shooter but did what she could to help her team. And to All the Sr's I have enjoyed watching and cheering for all of you this season!!
Sr Bailey Lovrien
Sr Rachel Gramling
Sr Haley Morgan
Sr Madison Loflin
Sr Hannah Gossett

To the New Blood coming up this experience should help down the road
Emily Redmond-Jr , hopefully get to see her on the floor nxt yr ,deep range
Ally Loflin Soph -varsity starting pg / led the team in scoring vs Monticello first round of State
Kalifa Ford Freshman -Varsity starter after being moved up/ led the team in Scoring a few games
Hannah Lovrien Soph -Started some varsity , 3pt specialists / has led in scoring
Gracie Hyde Soph -started some varsity in post,
Taylor Hammitt -Soph off bench but most improved player
Mallorie Lovrien -freshman will see time on varsity team nxt year, 3pt specialist
Emily Pate -Freshman prolly starting post nxt year ,very strong!!

This team is pretty good they just couldn't get the breaks they needed to pull out the win ...the future is bright in Brookland
