Agree she possibly could play at UAM but is not D1 material. Is UAM even looking at her?  They don't have a history of trying to get the local talent in SEArk!!

Well they should this year a lot of talent from southeast arkansas especially with the girls side the girl from warren  the  one from McGhee the one from drew central they are all seniors and I'm pretty sure you all have some at twinkle town because you don't win conference championships year in and year out without some college ready players

The answer to your question is yes UCA and ASU and of course UAM is looking at Pickett and UAM is trying to get all 3 girls from Owls,Piriates,and Lumberjacks. That's what I don't understand as much talent as we have down this way in LA (lower Arkansas) why don't a lot of th smaller Colleges in the state go after them more?

Either they get homesick or some of them can't handle the coaching style change/demands between HS and college and quit. That's what has happened to quiet a few girls from SC and all the surrounding SEArk towns.  That's just one guy's opinion, I'm sure everyone else has one as well. There is a girl from SC  at Arkansas Tech and one at SAU now playing. The more girls that stick it out mean more opportunities for future athletes. Colleges get tired of wasting scholarships on kids that won't stay. As far as UAM is concerned about recruiting SE Arkansas kids in football or basketball, they never have done a good job of recruiting down here, EVER!!

I hope Baptist Prep gets to play Monticello. It was a great game last year. Monticello was a good team ( I'm sure has a good team this year, I haven't seen them play ). Baptist Prep has been playing big schools that have
D-1 recruited players to toughen them up for a run at the state title. I'm looking forward to the tournament.

Right now AW I  wouldn't say that we will repeat we have 2 starters back off of last years team and a lot of players that got some playing time last year but not very much in key games last year during crunch time just when the game was pretty much over with but as the season goes on they will improve and get better we will be tested this Tuesday by a good dollarway team but it will be at our place don't count us out yet LR randy because we are the defending state Champs and our only loss was to a very good hot springs team  and arkansas baptist will be a team to rekon with as the season goes on  malvern hosting state is a BIG plus not having to travel and playing in your home gym and sleeping in your own bed are big pluses

Yeah it would be another good game but we just have to worry about playing the two conference games and making it to the regionals and then state but mainly do things one game at a time and if the chips fall correct we may meet again
