Meet of Champs Qualifiers

The first place finisher from each state meet qualifies for the Meet of Champs, and then the 5 next best finishes statewide.  Does that mean...

a) the next best five performances during state meets

b) the next best five performances throughout the current track season

Just hoping the weather is a little more cooperative on Saturday.  About froze to death by the end of the State meet last Thursday.  For those who have been before, does the meet move along fairly fast?  I see it sarts at 1:00 pm.

Because you do not have to worry about qualifying heats, and the fact that the number of athletes in more than one event decreases at this meet, it is reasonable to expect the meet can move along at a good pace.
