Well considering that the 7th and 8th graders at Carlisle only practice for 45 minutes per day it might be hard to win and build a program.

That's no good.

BrianfromCarlisle

That is because jr high athletics is 1st period.  they have been practicing plenty leading up to school starting.  And I'm sure they will be practicing more than 45 minutes.  He has the 9th graders going against the sr high right now for some quick lessons and evaluation.  People aren't used to change

Big Dave

They are practicing longer than 45 mins a day. But if everybody wants to go ahead and count them out....

HoopKing

It's called he needs the 9th graders to come to practice because he is at like 18-19 players which is good for the 9th graders but not good for the younger kids.

Sacrificing the jr high for maybe some kind of benefits for the sr high

HoopKing

Sounds like a guy who doesn't plan on being here long

Jr. High practices together from 7:15 until 1st period athletics is over.  WELL OVER 45 minutes.    And the 9th graders go to HS practice in afternoons to help and get evaluated if move ups are required.  Also, it is great experience for when they move up after jr high is over.

sounds like a coach that plans to be here for a while, and get his alma mater back on track where it should be.

Is there not a limit on much they can practice each week?

So brinkley doesn't have enough jr high players to field a team and will only play 7th grade or jr. Jr varsity games. Marvel is struggling as well.

We replaced brinkley with riverview and marvel with little rock Parkview.

For real? That's awful.  Marvell always struggles but Brinkley surprises me.

It's game day, bet those Bison are getting ready to rumble in McCrory. The JR Bison should be tough this year. What do the JR Jags look like?

Yes it is, Hazen's Jr. team looked good last night. those two little running backs can flat out get it.

No clue. But Hazen won't beat everyone's brakes off!  Lol. That would imply that they dominate every teams defense.  Let's see if you beat Des Arc's or Carlisle's brakes off first.

Yall still looking for your brakes from last years beating.

Coach95

Same running backs from last year too!!!

BrianfromCarlisle

So they are 17 and still in jr high?

BrianfromCarlisle

We actually have a coach. Those backs won't like this Bison D

McCrory 12

McCrory scored 12 points in the first quarter then des arc finally started playing defense and shut them completely down.

Lonoke has 60 in 8-9 grades!  Lol. It was crazy.  With that being said, Carlisle had chances to win. Just have to capitalize on those.

dang that left a mark.
The starters were pulled with 3 minutes left in the 2nd quarter I think the score was 38-0, Hazen and Clarendon coaches played the younger kids the remaining of the game after that. good experience for both sides.

Pick_DA_EAGLES

In the des arc - McCrory game last night, des arc had the ball for 14+ of the 16 minutes in the 2nd half.
