Don't know much of anything about Elkins, other than their schedule looks weak and the simulated score says Centerpoint will win big. Any thoughts?

Lavaca shut them out and Lavaca didn't make the playoffs.  That should answer your question.

Does Elkins still have the same coach that started the season?

Looks like he is the replacement.  Previous coach must have been removed from position after the post game fracas earlier in the season.

MaxPreps has Aaron Clark as the coach from 2004-2001.

Thurman Shaw has been their coach for several seasons now. Aaron Clark was their old coach who is now their Athletic Director. What incident are you referring too?

Sorry for the misunderstanding/mistake on my part.  The coach I was wondering about was from another school, but he caused a post game fracas when playing Elkins.  My bad.

Thanks for the clarification.

That incident was blown up by the media. Feel bad for both sides involved. Glad to see both schools were able to make it the playoffs and didn't let that define their season.

A very odd start to the game with half of the stadium lights being out. Centerpoint wins 28-8! First playoff victory ever for Centerpoint and best record in school history. Great night for the football program.
