Will JC be coming up early fri morning??

JC will most likely leave early, stop somewhere on the way and get a quick practice session in and hit the road again. At least that is what they have done in the past on long trips.

I understand Coach Carpenter has a connection to a Beebe coach who is allowing the use of their facilities to break up the trip and let the Dragons stretch their legs.

Bleu, sure you don't want to make the trip next friday? I have extra room in my ride. :)

Hey is it true that phil robertson use to coach at jc?  Sorry off topic.....

He taught at JC but I don't know if he coached. Bleu can tell ya.

greyhound68

It's really nice country up here and most of the Salem people are great and you guys will be treated very respectful. There's not much to chose from to eat though. A sonic, dairy queen and a couple mom and pop places and that's it, if ya'll want something different, you might want to stop in batesville. Be safe and we'll see ya at the game.

LC college in pinville LA. He's a freshmen center for them. it's right outside Alexandria.

Thought you might have been referring to La Tech.

I'm familiar with LC though.  JC had a QB on their '05 semi final team who is the head coach a Dewitt now.  He was on the LC baseball team.

And I've gotten stuck looping around the traffic circle in Alexandria back in my day.

Your son ever tried a pie from Lea's in Lecompte?

Awfully generous of you, but afraid my chance to watch the Dragon this Friday died with Bigelow's season.  I'll be working that day.

Enjoy the trip though.  Wouldn't be the first time Dragon fans found themselves riding to a high school football games while listening to the UA-LSU game on the radio.  Dang ain't playing or watching high school football after Thanksgiving fun.

Pretty sure Phil is reffrencing Huttig/Felsenthal women when speaking of facial hair  ;)

I'm not sure about that one C91.  Wilson may have hit the nail on the head though.

I know the good Lord, in his infinite wisdom, makes women in all shapes, sizes and temperaments.  I'd argue they are some of his best work.  And after all, isn't it generally accepted beauty is in the eye of the beholder? 8)

This is gunna be a war between the up and coming star Salem and the legends of 2A JC man I wish I could go to this one!!!!! I'm not gunna pick a winning cause I just don't no but go get em Salem make us proud in the 3

Dragon I

I hope Salem is 100%. No excuses when JC runs roughshod over the Hounds.

hogwildUofA

Man i hear where your coming from since your from JC you just think you guys are going to run through everyone but Salem is gunna be tough to beat you won't just run over them thats for sure!!!

Dragon I

I haven't felt this confident in a team since 2008. That team was absolutely stacked, and the only team that really scared them was Des Arc.  In 2003, we had to listen to this same junk. When we played Bearden, we hadn't played anyone that good. 42-0. Lafayette county. Same thing. Then Hughes was gonna be the best we had seen. 56-0. Barton was going to be the team to test us by the final game of the year, everyone picked JC to lose. It turned into a beat down shortly after kickoff. This JC team is stacked and young. Scary thought. Salems only hope is JC turnovers. Sometimes, there is a thorough bred amongst the mules. That is what your looking at this year.

I agree D1, I couldn't tell the difference when the subs were in or the 1st string. This team has the 9th grade undefeated and unscored on players and I think they're looking to run the gauntlet and bring home the ship...... ;)

Who's comparing games?  Even if there were a common opponent, that can often have no bearing on a head-to-head matchup.

Yeah, and our fifth seed gave that WR team all they wanted and held them to their second lowest scoring output of the year. Bye the way, since were comparing games, JC beat Strong 49-12 and it should of been by more.  ;)

Dragon I

Quit comparing scores. The fact is Salem does not match up with JC anywhere but on the interior of the OL, and that's a stretch with Taylor Mason coming on so strong late in the year.

You Salem folks have absolutely no idea what you're about to get into. Junction City will beat your brains in for one big reason: they will be the most physical team you will face all season. Sure, the Dragons' skill position guys will light your butts up, but it starts up front.

They will punch you in the mouth and won't let up.

The only way JC loses this is if they hand the game away via turnovers and such.

David Carpenter won't allow that.

You must be a single male because if you had a wife you would know exactly when and where you were wrong at all times. That being said , no need to write it down because you have already. Why waste my ink because you are never wrong or not very often anyway. Those times you claim to have seldom been wrong may come around more often now!!

gatecrasher

No, my wife doesn't have to be right all the time.

But back to the topic. You must not be familiar with Junction City's tradition and physicality. You don't have a clue.

I'm an innocent bystander here by the way.

Bigelow didn't stay with Salem.  We were rusty the first half because our haven't seen game time since halftime of cross county.  Did y'all get first the 2nd half?

4thn10

I can say that my wife is the only person I know that is never wrong. Yes, I know  about JC and I know about Salem. I think it will be a great game. Do not believe it will be a blowout like you say.

Well, I do.
Physicality will be the deciding factor. It may be a game for awhile. But the Dragons will pull away.

Salem has typically be the slower team most of the year. For whatever reason speed teams do not effect these guys.  JC will be dominated up front... Mark it down.
It will be a good game but Salem wins by 2 td's

If the AAA Assigns Salem"s regular season refs (like they do for JC sometimes), then JC will get beat, them the worse refs u will ever see

A guy posting that has no clue about JC's offensive and defensive lines. You will not dominate those units. To beat JC by 2 td's, you have to score 2 td's. Not something that happens very often.

Common Opponent was Marked Tree; both teams beat MT by 42.  Marked Tree scored on Salem but not on JC.  But you may as well be comparing almonds and peanuts; both are called nuts but only 1 is.
