There has been 50 boys and 50 girls games from 1998 through 2015 to
make a total of 100 Championship games played.  This 2016 season of 4
boys and 4 girls 4A-7A games will bring that total to 108 State
Championship games played since it was sanctioned by the AAA in 1998.
This is a job well done by all the athletes/coaches/schools/fans over
the years to make Soccer another great sport for any size school to
participate in athletics.  Every year there seems more and more
schools and athletes coming into this sport for high school.
The final game of the season pits two of the best teams to be State
Champion and State Runner-up for their respective conference.  IMO,
you have already proven that you ARE the 8 best teams in the State by
making it to the Finals.  Being the State Champion or State Runner-up
puts your elite team not only in your conference soccer record but
also puts your team in the Overall State boys/girls State Champs/State
Runner-ups records.  See my link below to see the current complete
list.
