Just curious as to is their and a point and shoot(cheapie camera I guess) that is good nough to take pictures of the moon? I've tried with mine and all I get is a ball of light in a field of black...

Need to slow your shutter speed down to 1 second or less,
max out you Apeture(lowest Number)
and a high ISO setting.
Turn of the flash.

I dont know of any "point and shoot" that has those features???

The moon is alot brighter then you think. The settings bird dog gave you will give you a bright circle.
I usually shoot shutter 1/250, aperture f8 or greater, and iso 100.

Dang I was hoping that there was a point and shoot. I like to take pics, but don't have the cash for one of those "fancy" cameras that you guys use...And over the last week with the full moon and the mostly clear sky i would have loved to have had a good camera to take a few pictures..
