Monticello overrated. Lost last 2 games to DeWitt 6-2 and Crossett 4-2. Crossett and Dumas are legit this year.

Just saying that the two teams that you say are legit have both suffered losses to Monticello.  Any team can have bad days just as Monticello has had it's last two games.  The first time Monticello played Crossett, the final was 15 to 9.  Monticello started with a pitcher that had never pitched before and Crossett went up 5-0 in the first inning.  5 that probably wouldn't have happened with another pitcher.  That score should have been way more lop-sided.  I just don't think Crossett or Dumas are as legit as you think they are....Sorry!

For the record I don't think Crossett should be rated that high either. They only have 1 Sr starting. Very young team. But they are 8-3 having split series with Hamburg , El Dorado and Monticello.

What happened to Ashdown this year?

I'm not sure, I guess just a down year.

In response about what happened to Ashdown this year.  We only lost 1 from last year's state semi-finals team that lost to Brookland.  I'm not sure what happened during the first part of the season.  They didn't look anything like the team from last year.  But some positions were switched around and my guess is that this threw off their confidence levels and it just spiraled down and affected every part of their game.  The good news is Ashdown tends to make a late run and judging from the last 2 games, they look are looking a lot more like the team from last year.  I think we can expect this team of 6-7 Srs. that have played in a State Championship and were last year's semi-finalist to fight it out.

I can't believe that Ashdown has been beaten by some of those teams. I believe that when the smoke clears Ashdown will be in the mix at the end. It appears that Nashville has also been beaten by someone else in the league. I'm not sure who that could be, I guess I missed a game somewhere in the mix.
