I know it's early but has anyone heard of any possible coaching moves that might occur? Seems like rumors usually start around this time each year

:D where is bill taylor going?

BICMUSTANG4LIFE

Retiring from coaching.  Said he doesn't have anything lined up. Coaching is getting to stressful.

Much of his stress is probably self-induced.

OB11

Does anyone know if he is the head baseball coach as well?  Will this open up baseball at BIC too?

BICMUSTANG4LIFE

yes I agree it is self-induced. He does put a lot of pressure on his self.     Yes he is the baseball Coach this year also.

Do you think Yates will want to move over to Boys Basketball & Baseball?

BICMUSTANG4LIFE

I haven't heard anything. It kind of caught everyone off guard. I for one thought he would stay for 2 more years.  As far as Yates goes I don't know that he would want to or if the Board would want him too. most of the board members have kids playing so  they will have some BIG input in on this hire.

Head Lion

The best coach in NEA just 10 miles down the road, but he is in year 1 of a 10 year deal for well over $700k, country club membership & school automobile. Going to increase the recruiting budget this year.

BICMUSTANG4LIFE

He is good.  If it was me we would go after Tuckerman coach but it is not up to me.

OB11

Do you think they will hire one guy to do both basketball & baseball?

BICMUSTANG4LIFE

I'm not sure. Sounds like you might be interested in baseball ??  Get that resume ready & send it in. nothing to lose.

Rumor has it that Mountain View girls coach Steve Ross could be retiring (again) at the end of the season.

bodiddley

Is there anyone they will move up for that position or will it be open?

What about the boys job? Mountain View's boys haven't looked good in a while.

Unless Jeff Morrow elects to move somewhere else, he is staying right there at Mountain View.
Ronnie Jones is the assistant high school girls coach at Mountain View and is the head junior girls coach. I think he is close to hanging it up as well and may not be interested in the head coach job

Mtn View has a lot of talent on that girls team.  Someone is going to take over a good team.

bodiddley

Sounds like a good situation for the right person

bdog32

I think coach bateman would be a great candidate for the Bic job.  But we have a lot of talent coming up here so I don't see him leaving anytime soon

pioneers

I won't be surprised if middlebrooks pursues the bic job.

Ctucker

I think that would be a good one for BIC and I figure he will want out of cedar after this year.

BIC should go after Middlebrooks.. He will want out after this year. They are losing a lot and talent has run its course. He does a good job, Cedar Ridge is probably on the downhill slide

bdog32

How come coach Taylor is wanting out?

BICMUSTANG4LIFE

He is retiring. Going to enjoy his Grandkids & take a little stress off.

bdog32

Sounds like heaven to me.   I hope he enjoys retirement.  He's a great coach

laketownballer

He better go after something else. He certainly won't win anywhere with average talent. He needs a few d-1/naia players to do anything in a lower classification.

Several jobs should be opening up over the next few weeks when school comes closer to an end and Basketball is officially over.
