Welcome Coach!!!   We are excited.  Coaching staff is coming together even though I am very disappointed that John Thompson was not offered a postion.   Great man and good heart.   Prayers for him wherever he goes.  He is a winner!!

Trooper's a con artist who gets hired solely because of his bagman ability.  Any program that gives him a job should be immediately investigated.

ASU has no cash for a barman, he just needed back in the game somewhere.

Depends on how much gets put into the "Liberty" fund.

Maybe he'll stay straight this time.  Nonetheless, I would be level ten hacked if Taylor was hired at Arkansas.

Glad I won't have to see that two bit thug with his hat backwards swinging his towel on the sidelines.

True Believer

Jealousy is so ugly.   Sorry that you all feel that way.

Go Red Wolves!!!!

True Believer

You don't bother me in the least Eddie.

:)

True Believer

Brian Early too!!   Yippee!!

Howl Yes!!   :)

Lions84

I am not sure the NCAA can find Jonesboro.

They've had no problem finding it before a number of times.

Me either, they have a hard enough time know where UofA is.

True Believer

Love Jonesboro and want it to stay the way it is but it's growing by leaps and bounds.

Soon I won't be in the country anymore.  :(

Lions84

Yes the Delta is swiftly becoming single county Big City communities.

True Believer

Yep.  It's sad to drive through some of the towns and see all the boarded up windows.  People need jobs.  They aren't there but in the bigger cities.

Lots of history.  I hope it isn't lost.

An east and north bypasses would be nice.

Whatever it takes to alleviate the traffic some.

Driving lessons for three-quarters of the people on the road there would help, but that's a problem everywhere.

I think most people would like an east and north bypass around Arkansas.

Be fine with me, I hate traffic. I'm in Fayetteville this weekend and it sucks up here in NWA, 49 from Bentonville to Fayetteville is a pain.

We can only hope!!   It's not as bad in the summer when ASU and the schools are out.  49 is worse since the new hospital and the restaurants have opened up.

But at least I have more choices than the little mexican restaurant and the Subway in the gas station.  The smokehouse is good and Fat City is out there now.

But progress means more traffic.  I would really like the less traffic.  I can always drive to Jonesboro or Paragould to eat out.

I see one of them has already closed.

Smokehouse ain't bad, but it was better when Demo was running it back across from JHS.

True Believer

Yea, Taco Kid and then San Diego Taco is gone.  I agree about Demo's.

Soon Jonesboro and Brookland will be touching.

Spencer did ok with Demo's for several years, but when he started the building out on 49, the one across from JHS went downhill fast. I won't even eat there now, really disappointing.

True Believer

I went to the one across from JHS  for lunch recently.    The employees were fighting with each other.  Very uncomfortable.  I haven't been back to that one either.

Only a matter of time before Brookland is a 5A district like Valley View.

Anyway, I got to know Demo a little bit when I was working at that now-closed grocery store by JHS back in college.  He'd come in every Saturday for supplies and his order.  Good guy, straight shooter.  Haven't been back to the JHS location since he stepped down.

Here in Wynne, we don't have any decent BBQ places - and what we have, we're losing to Jonesboro.

True Believer

Is Kelley's still in Wynne?  That's where we ate when we played ball over there.

Yep, he took all the employees there to his new location, I quit when they started giving you "Cattleman's" bbq sauce instead of their own.

Can't cut corners and run a successful restaurant.

Is Couch's still in Jonesboro and if so is it good?

Nope, not anymore. It went downhill around 2000, they stayed in business about 10 more years, but the quality wasn't there. There still is a bbq restaurant there, maybe Ole Hickory??

Closed.  Mediocre BBQ, from what I remember.

Sooner or later I'm going to make the drive to Ironhorse in Paragould.  Heard some buzz about it.

True Believer

Cate's closed here in Jonesboro and I thought it was fantastic.  Bought a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving and I barely got a sliver of it after my family attacked it.

Like ricepig said, it was not in a good location.

Ironhorse.   I'll have to try it out.

Was at Roma's last week.  Good Italian - bad location, in the old Steak and Shake.

Yep, I was surprised when I ate there, it was good. Also, throw in Dexter's BBQ at that location. I don't know how the Wendy's stays open, I guess they don't want to close it.

Jacketman65

Use to spend a lot of time at Roy's in Paragould

True Believer

I heard Roy's has great burgers.
