It doesn't look all that bad.... compared to what it use to look like.. Drove by the other day and saw the Soccer coach moving sprinklers and other stuff. Drove by another day and saw him mowing. Seems to be the only coach who cares what the field looks like. So I wouldn't say it is soccers fault.
