The best answer I can give here is this: compared to which team?

I say that because historically the overall quality of play in this conference has not been as high as it has been in other conferences.  My take from what I saw this week says this is still the case - and the matchups (the playoff draw) will make all the difference.  Since you mentioned this though - let's look at the bracket from the Central POV:

C1 St. Joseph gets a 1st round bye, then draws the winner of S3/N4.

C2 Mayflower draws the NC4 seed, the winner gets the S2 seed.

C3 Harding plays the NC3 seed, the winner gets the S1 seed.

C4 Atkins draws the NC2 seed.

To directly answer your question about St. Joseph, they have some height but are not overly athletic.  That is NOT meant as any sort of backhanded insult, more of an observation they did not seem to dig a lot of balls and did not seem very quick on the floor.  Their hitting is fair, but I didn't see any player who really went on a tear and killed a bunch of sets.  And their ball movement was not sharp.

Who is the likely NC1 seed?
