Clay Matthews was called for roughing the passer late in the fourth quarter which negated what should have been the game winning interception. Ive debated this play for the past few days with friends and co-workers. This is a routine tackle that is taught at every level. Serious question for anyone that has coached football. How can you teach this any differently to where you can't get a roughing the passer call in the NFL?

You can't teach it any differently. That was a "textbook" tackle. The penalty was because he landed with his weight on the QB. What a crock! Is he supposed to just push him down?

The irony for Packer fans is that this rule was put in place because of the play that took Aaron Rodgers out last year lol. I agree crap rule, I understand they are trying to protect the QB but between this and not knowing what's a catch and what's not a catch it is beyond ridiculous.
