I am extremely jealous of the referees who get to work the (probable) Dardanelle Warren second round matchup. Think I'm gonna have to head out to Harrison a little early on Friday to catch that one! Very well could be the match of the tournament.

Long day at the 4A tourney... weather turned out great after a wet, cold morning.
Lots of good soccer, and unfortunately, lots of bad soccer throughout the day.

Mena looked solid, but may lack the speed to win it all. CAC is big, but not much speed. Dardanelle looked good, even though they were playing against 10 and 11 in the box throughout the game. Warren looked like they put the tough loss to Hamburg last week behind them and dominated the game. Prairie Grove slugged it out in what may have been the ugliest soccer game of the day, but a win is a win.
Did not see the Hamburg or Berryville losses, but somewhat surprised that both lost. Mena probably comes through that bracket to the championship, while the Warren/Dardanelle winner probably comes out of the top side of the bracket.

The Warren/Dardanelle game will be the most interesting match in the quarterfinals tomorrow on the boys side. It will be must see soccer for those that can make it to this game.

Goodness, tomorrow is reminding me of 2014. The Dardanelle Warren game is a state championship level game in the quarterfinals.

Ten minutes gone and Dardanelle has had the better chances, although none of them have been particularly dangerous.

I think so. Opposite corner of the field but I could hear "That's two you've missed, do your job." Good early caution for it. Game is gonna be physical enough, the coaches loudly dissenting as such will only raise the temperature.

Free kick came in and a Warren defender and their GK ran into each other. Bit of a scramble that can't be cleared away and Dardanelle slotted home.

Immediately at the other end Warren is denied by the crossbar

Sounds like Dardanelle is getting more quality chances but Warren is managing to hold them off
