The 1-AA East has been very productive during the recent years and has alot of competition. So the question is... who will win it this year?
c'mon guys i need some input on this
yea the bergman marshall sr. high girls games should be awesome. jenny vining and kelley ruff. ashley taylor and....sorry no competition for her from marshall.
Bergman girls will have it. The boys will have to play with their A game every night. The lack of physical size hurts, but it is hard to replace the size of those boys big hearts. That alone will win them several games.
i wouldnt put any money on bergman winning anything since jenny vining from marshall is such a dominant player but bergman is the heavy favorites
Unfortunately I don't live in that area so I won't get to watch any of the games. I haven't seen the Vining girl so I will take your word for it.
im guessing ur from russelville?
well i'm FROM Bergman, but yes I've been in college
ahh, well nontheless there will be some good competition from the marshall and bergman as well as valley
how are the marshall boys? have any conference games been played yet?
nope, no conference games yet. unlike all of the other schools in the 1-AA east they have football and so they get started a bit later that all the other 5
well have any of the other 5 played any conference games? and if so what were the outcomes
how bad did Bergman beat Jasper?
WOW!! That is very impressive considering the size difference.
Bergman girls will roll
Dice?
yep...and all of their opponents
Oh, i get it now. Yeah rolling.
bhs and qwerty, keep me posted on what is happening with the 1-AA East teams.
no prob i gotcha man
holler
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
whats the update qwerty?
tonight marshall is playing jasper at jasper for marshall's first conference game of the season and jasper is not a bad team at all so this will be quite a test for the bobcats i think
How did it go? ^^^^^
all of the marshall teams won(jr. girls, sr. boys and girls) 1-0 in conference now for the sr. high teams
good job
what were the scores?
I see where Bergman SPANKED St. Paul and improved to 13-2. It should be interesting when Bergman takes on the Danville Little Johns on Dec. 22nd at Charleston.
it will be fun
i think the bigelow-marshall game 2morrow night will be and interesting one and am anxious to see how it plays out
when do Bergman and Marshall play?
not for awhile, marshall has valley on tues. and cotter on friday
How did they do against Bigelow
The lady Panthers got it handed to them on Friday night by Guy-Perkins. I heard it was by 20 or so. Someone tell me how they did in the consolation game?
Let us know what happens with Marshall vs. Valley
And Marshall lost to Bigelow by 4 in the tourney. ^^^^
Awesome, thanks.
Were you at the game vs. Guy-Perkins? Can you give us the scoop? Was Bergman just out matched severely?
Let us know what happens tonight between Bergman and Valley Springs.
Yeah, I guess that will work. :)
whoever plays just keep us updated

Marshall possibly could have beaten Bigelow if the Bobcats had hit their free throws. Marshall was 10-26 for the game while Bigelow was 16-22. Free throw shooting probably is the main difference in 10 games every year, win or lose, for every team that plays basketball.
yes u have a very good point, if marshall's free throw shooting percentage was anywhere higher than 39% they might have won that ball game.
free throws aren't important
they just decide who wins or loses

Elliott Wobker for Valley Springs is probably one of the two best players in this conference, He had 30 pts for Valley.
They have been waiting for his Sr. year to roll around. He is GOOD. I like the kid.
he is very talented
yep ole wobby couldn't miss against marshall... well i take that back, he missed 2 shots all together.
way to go wobker
Bump
well tomorrow is cotter for the bobcats of marshall. gotta get a win in this one

The Bergman Sr Boys got beat tonight by Valley..51-46 i believe..it was a good game..and yes free throws are important cuz if Bergman would have made theirs they could have won..im not sure how many they missed exactly tho but it could have made a difference..
Was it in the Green Forest Tourney?
Thanks fan. So who does that put in the finals?
and in the girls?
marshall beat cotter 72-57 and marshall played terrible
how is valley and bergman faring in the NAC tourny???
yeah, i wanna know
woo hoo yea go tigers
time for some non-conference revenge
are you kidding me?!?!
YEAH BERGMAN...palabra!!
yeah. that's what im saying! go BERGMAN!
Way to go Panthers. Tigers get notch #2 in their loss column.
that is the way it is lookin for now
Gotta love those Panthers. Taking down the #1 team in the state twice in one week is big time. HHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
marshall beat flippin and it stands now as 1.bergman 2.valley springs 3.marshall 4.flippin last two are cotter and jasper in an order i know not of
It is sad that Jasper is not dominating. They have GREAT size, but apparently nothing to go with the size.
you make a very good point wonderboys. it is hard to believe
rolling through conference, oh how i remember the days
marshall girls beat cotter by about 50 something. they had 71 points to begin the 4th quarter. jenny vining has really turned it on scoring no less than 33 points for the past 4 games. andrea loggins has also struck a match on the offensive end. she had 19 and shot awesome. i was really impressed w/ jenny's performance since OU was there to watch her. the boys beat cotter by 30. kyle west(who had a very special someone at the game watching who lives in mtn. home... cough, cough) was unstoppable throughout the whole game he had at lest 20 i'd say but i dont know the stats for sure. looks like can really play when has some motivation bhspanthers 25
idk bhspanthers25 what do u think it means??????
im guess im just sayin that it seems like mr. west has some really spark in his game whenever haley is there watching him thats all. and i do recall you being at the game last night and look how he played
that was w/o a doubt the worst game of basketball ever.... also that is w/o a doubt the worst officiating game of basketball ever. i agree w/ u dark air flyer

There were several really bad calls that caused the ballgame to get out of hand for the Bobcats but that in itself did not determine the winner as the Tigers were prepared to show, in the rematch, that they were more than 5 pts better than Marshall. The Marshall Senior boys should get the 3rd seed in the district tournament and will probably have to get by Cotter for a 3rd time to get into regional so the team needs to forget Friday nights disaster because the final three conference games are very important, as well as the remaining non-conference games.
i dont think that you have the right to say how many points valley is better than marshall by. 2 games were played and you cannot decipher between which game shows the true colors of each team. i would have to say that due to marshall's play they prolly got beat by 12 or14 points but with some help they won by 30
Quote
There must have been some credibility to what I stated on Saturday because Coach Cude also stated in the Sunday 1/22/06 edition of the Harrison Daily Times on page 2 and 4 and I quote "Valley Springs was 15 to 20 points better than us tonight," said Marshall coach Jeremy Cude, "and with a little help they were 30 better than us." End Quote. I stated more than 5 pts, Coach Cude stated 15 to 20 pts more.
Quote
you are correct coach cude stated that they were "15-20 points better than us TONIGHT" tonight which means that on that one special occasion. you stated that they ARE more than 5 points better than marshall, implying that they are that much better than marshall on any given night
Round 4: Bergman vs. Valley Springs tomorrow night at the Panther Palace
i think bergman will win it but i dont really know. it will be close like it always is
i heard that bergman beat valley springs by like 23.

yeah, that is what my brother said. 14-12 at the half 56-23 (or so) for the final. DOMINATION
nobody prolly really cares but marshall beat flippin 80-45. chase yancey had 18pts. 3assists and ethan branscum had16pts. 3assists. Bergman finishes 1st, Valley 2nd, Marshall 3rd

Yes, 14-12 at the half, 48-25 was the final.
yeah, sorry about that. I guess I didn't do the math.
i know that marshall has 3 games until district: shirley-tonight, western grove and mtn. view next week. what are the remaining schedules for the other teams in this conference.

bergman went to melbourne tonight where each team one by like 30..then they go to eureka springs on tuesday and they host lead hill on thursday for senior night
let us know how the game against Eureka goes. Their boys are pretty good this year.
Quote from: bhspanthers25 on February 04, 2006, 06:07:44 pm
well valley boys mercy ruled eureka in the nac tournament..i think that was the second least amount of points a team has scored in the tournaments history..i believe it was under 20
they will be in our (Danville's) regional, I think they are undefeated in their conference
