Current standings via Max Preps. I think 2nd 3rd 4th is a toss up as of now. If ECS stays healthy, they should finish 1st but anything can happen.

Eagle20

BHG is 3-4 in conference and owns the tiebreaker with Perryville

I figured some of the records are wrong. I'll change it

Eagle20

Thanks for trying to keep up with it.  I know it is not easy!

20-7 ECS over BHG after 1st qtr

30-7 , 3:40 to go in 2nd

40-13 halftime ECS over BHG at BHG
This is similar defense to the Jessieville game at ECS, 66-21 I believe was final.
This defense will win 'it' if they play with that intensity.

neds

16-12 ECS over Jessieville boys at half in district final
Could make a strong case for a shot clock

Head Lion

We wouldn't ever run out of time on a 15 second shot clock in 3A3, I don't know if that is good or bad...

Lrbasketballguru

While ECS did narrowly hang on tonight. I don't see this as an extremely bad sign. Sure, this could be foreshadowing a future collapse, but I also think that it keeps them from overlooking teams. It's 50/50 good and bad IMO.

neds

It was 90% good for them

BigMan15

What was the score

neds

42 - 36 ECS.
Jessieville attempted to slow the game down from the start. It worked for a short period in the 1st qtr. ECS went up 32-17 in the 2nd qtr and I would consider the game decided at that point.
Jessieville fouled their way back into the game at the end as ECS missed most of their free throws in the 4th qtr. (unusual). The final was the closest margin of the game.
No slight to Jessieville at all. I have sung their praises all year long and they will do well in regional and state. Very well coached team and very disciplined. If you don't slow down #12 you will get beat, simple as that. He is a VERY good shooter, had 36 pts in the win yesterday over Mayflower.

32-17 in 2nd HALF not qtr.

Sportsgirl

Daley is a GREAT shooter. I have watched him in all 3 district games. He makes the most impossible shots i have ever seen. He truly is a talented kid i think. He steps up at the right times and its big shots.

Correct cdelaney, that is what I meant to say.
You are right sportgirl he is a really good shooter. Jessieville could very well end up in the regional final vs ECS again, solid team.
Teams in post season will attempt to slow down the game vs ECS. One thing for sure they better have some good guards that can handle the ball and shoot when they have a window. The ECS defense forces turnovers. ECS has to be better at the free throw line when it counts. Last night was unusually bad, but that happens.

Head Lion

Teams will start to try different ways to play the are the coaches are not very smart. Nothing dumber in life than doing the same thing and expecting a whole lot better result.

HorseFeathers

What's the seeding for the girls..

1. Perryville
2. Jessieville
3. ???
4. ???
