ECS played these teams just a few weeks apart, so comparison is pretty fresh. GR is the better team and should win by 2+ TDs.
According to hootens,  and Cal Preps, ECS was also the better team last week. Arkansas was the better team vs MSU, we all know how they came out.

Lrbasketballguru

Your 3a heisman winner... Cecil Langston. Any time a guy runs for 400+ yards and 7 td's, he's legit. Colts win.

SR30

Ok so what is the visitors seating like in rivercrest. With the monsoon coming is there an area where a canopy can be set up and see the game.

yes there's plenty of room to see and set up a canopy. The cotton patch is quite old. Still has the red gravel for the track. Lol. Might get your shoes a little muddy walking over!

Coltfan2005

visitor's bleachers? We don't need no steenkin visitor bleachers! ;D

Pokey03

Get it done RIVERCREST, make NEA proud.

ea cat

Have been to the Cotton Patch 4-5 times. If the rain, cold temps or mud don't get you. The 25-30mph winds will.

redandgray

Happy Thanksgiving guys! Hope you have a blessed day and eat yourselves silly! Praying for safe travels for Glen Rose fans tomorrow.

Whatever; you can say that about anybody who picks games. Doesn't affect anything this week. I just think GR is better and these were two recent games. I miss plenty of picks like everyone.

Black and Gold

Pulling for the Crest tomorrow night. Wishing I could be there, but I can't be in 20 places at once.

Have you been to a Rivercrest game this season?

Paperman

The ECS coaching staff said the Colts and Beavers were similar! Great respect for the abilities of both teams! Should be a good although very wet game!

Coltfan2005

Are Glen Rose football games carried on any radio stations?

redandgray

Gameday! Praying for safe travels for everyone and an injury-free game. Go Colts!

It is going to get even uglier though! Folks, if you are going tonight, it is going to be bad outside. Bundle up that rain gear and hang on. Go Colts!

big lefty

Lots of running ,quick game ,Glen Rose  34-32

bootlegger

looks like both teams get a heavy dose of number 33

Paperman

Lots of running and completed passes last week at the Cotton Patch and the game took nearly 3 hours! Of course, stopping play for 17 touchdowns played into that equation.

Add another miss pick to your resume and quit comparing scores. 20-7 Colts won by two tds. Look on the bright side Hootens and Cal prep miss this one AGAIN too 😄😃

Yep missed another one. Good job by Crest.
But I don't know why you say quit comparing scores or mention Calpreps or Hootens. I saw both teams play the same opponent two weeks apart. GR dominated ECS; the Crest game could have gone either way. That's why I thought GR would win.
Either way, Crest is in the semis and will have a good shot at beating Smack. I may pick the Colts just to jinx them.

Fox32

Congrats to the Colts on the win and congrats to the beavs on a great season. If someone would have told me that the beavers would hold the Colts to 20 pts I'd a been sure GR would have won.  For a young team the experience they've gained this year should pay huge dividends next year.

I've enjoyed watching Jordan Johnson and this group of seniors and want to wish them luck with their plans and decisions for the future. I hope they set their goals high and don't stop until they get there. I played just about everything and there's no sport that even comes close to football IMO.  The game taught us all some of the most important lessons in life and I hope it has done the same for them. "Some people act like football is a matter of life and death and this attitude disappoints me very much because I can assure you it is much, much more important than that". Lol that's a quote from somebody I can't remember who.

GO BEAVERS!

If there were a 3A Heisman and if I were a voter, Id vote for him.

If you want to crown him, crown him but IMO he's a good back that runs behind a really big above average o-line. He's good but not Heisman good

I and most everyone would not consider GR "the man". The Colts play one of the teams I would consider "the man" this week. But enough about GR ya'll need to be worrying about that "steed of runner backs" from Smackover.

Worrying is not good, oh by the way GR was pick to beat RC, remember.  Also we didn't worry about ECS or  GR. Rcrest respects every team they play. What ever the outcome be they will accept it, win or lose it will be done with with dignity. The Colts will be in Smackover Friday night, you coming. 8)

If he won that too that would leave Johnson with nothing. hmmm. anyway Johnson is history, we moving on to Smackover and players like wide receiver #10 J. Jones, runningback #8 K. Purifoy and his running mates, qb #4 B.Burson. Its RiverCrest vs Smackover in one half of the 3A state semifinals.
