Both teams pulled out tough games tonight!! Rematch of last year when Rison beat us at home, hopefully we can return the favor now!! I'm gonna say Hector 28 Rison 21

BigDoginBlue

Gonna be a tough road game, rison is no joke but I think hectors returns the favor from last year and surges into the semis 35-28

Wilcat43

I sure hope Lanny beavers picks against Hector again this next week it's been working out GREAT!!!!!!!

I think he had a great pick personally  ;D

Hector should get their band there early and line them up against the wall just off the field where the visiting team walks to the locker room after warmups and just blare horns and bang drums to drown out the foul mouthed hecklers before the game.

Lol, they get after it don't they?

I was listening to the score board show on the long drive home last night and one of the announcers picked  Hector to win. I agree.  Hector go out and win it all for our conference.

HorseFeathers

By my math, hectors seniors could be become the winningest class in program history with a W Friday night...also would be the first semi final appearance since 1999

Proud Buckaroo

With a win Friday. Hector remains undefeated in their conference and the 2A-8. Lol.

Who has won more. These boys have never lost in confrence.

mrscoach

Won 13 and 14 in 1998 and 1999, didn't they. Might have been 6 or 7 wins on either side though. 11, 9, and 12 so far with this group.

6-5 in '97
13-2 in '98
13-1 in '99

Now the winning streak in conference is a school record, those boys lost to Hartford in '98 before going on a hot streak to the state finals

I coached those boys on the State finals team in summer baseball you talk about some ball players!

wildcat_x-mgr

I think that's the team my cousin-in-law was on, that lost to Shiloh in the final. Not sure if he was a senior that year, but I think he may have been. We had some fun with him after last year's game! LOL

Who's your cousin in law?

Greg Freeman. Married my cousin, a fellow Rison graduate like myself. They live in a faraway land out toward the west coast now, part of the service life it seems.

Everyone think this will be just as good of a game as it was last year?

This should be a great game. I'm undecided if I wanna come and watch this game or check out some 4a football warren\nashville game. Got a 15 min drive to warren and 45 min drive to rison gonna be worth it wherever I end up Friday night.

Looks like this one will be played in the rain...

Probably Rison....Rison has thrown it some this year, but I'd be willing to bet Hector relies in the pass more than they do.

Their run game won't be as tough in the rain though and we've proven can pass in the rain

Black and Gold

I'll take Rison 35-21. I know nothing about either team, just that Rison is traditionally a good program.
