2007 Outlook: Coach Mark Courtney took the helm at Dumas last season and the program immediately saw results with a six win season and a playoff berth that including a first-round victory over Osceola. Ashdown ended the Bobcats run the next week, but Courtney's influence on the program is stamped. Will the Bobcats be a perennial playoff team? The "Magic 8-Ball" says all signs point to yes at least in 2007. With explosive quarterback Kendall Council returning as well as RB Justin Jones and WR Lathan Harris, the Bobcats should be a playoff team in 2007 if they can survive the rigors of the 8-4A.

Comments by coach: "Most of my skill people are returning; pretty good depth at skill positions. Line is a lot stronger, but not as deep or as experienced. (On defense) good core to build around. We should be very fast on defensive side of ball. (On the strengths of the team) 26 seniors, team speed and added strength in offseason. We're in the toughest conference in this classification, every week is a war."
