2007 Outlook: The Scott Hyatt era begins in Booneville in 2007. He inherits a program that doesn't expect to just make the playoff but make a deep run. The Bearcats have made 10 straight postseason experiences and 28 total playoff appearances with 49 wins. That streak almost came to an end last season but a week 10 win over conference champion gave the Booneville the conference number three seed in the playoffs. Hyatt will have to be find some linemen to fill in the gaps left by a departing senior class, but a returning backfield, including senior quarterback Kelly Carolan, should be speed up the learning process. Defensively, senior lineman Matt Wilson is back to anchor the line after recording a team high seven sacks and 94 tackles. Enough of the nucleus returns for the Bearcats that a playoff berth should be in the cards for Booneville.
